  • MATTHEW STURGES - Is a writer with numerous mainstream comics to his credit.  Most recently he wrote Final Crisis Aftermath: Run! featuring the Human Flame and, with Bill Willingham, he is taking over the writing of Justice Society of America with issue #27.  Sturges’ other works include the comic book series House of Mystery, Shadowpact, Salvation Run, JSA, Blue Beetle, and the Eisner Award-nominated Jack of Fables, co-written with Bill Willingham. He is the author of the novel Midwinter, and his short stories have been published on RevolutionSF and in the anthologies Live without a Net and With Great Power. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two daughters.

  • JOSH HOWARD Is a comic book creator in the true sense of the word.  He writes and draws all of his own material, and for the better part of the last decade has been entertaining fans with his critically acclaimed series Dead@17 published by Image Comics.  Josh comes to the West Texas Comic Con on the heels of the conclusion of the most recent chapter of the series Dead@17:Afterbirth – along with news of the series being optioned as a movie! Josh is also known for his comic books Black Harvest published by Devil’s Due, and the Lost Books of Eve published by Viper Comics. We are glad to have him as a guest at our show!

  • Paul Benjamin is a writer, editor, supermodel and video game writer/producer based in Austin, Texas. His comic book and graphic novel work ranges from his original manga series Pantheon High to Marvel Adventures Hulk and Marvel Adventures Spider-Man. His stories have appeared in numerous other Marvel titles as well as Tokyopop’s Star Trek: The Manga and Starcraft: Frontline series and Disney/Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. Paul’s video game writing and producing credits include The Incredible HulkSpider-Man: Web of Shadows, X-Men Origins: WolverineG.I. JOE: The Rise of COBRA and more.   • WILL TERRELL – Will is a comic book artist and freelance Illustrator living in Lubbock, TX.  His professional comic credits include work on Disney’s Gargoyles and the Goblin Chronicles from Ape Entertainment, as well as freelance work for Microsoft, Disney, and several other companies.  Will also helped found the Lubbock Sketch Club, The “South Plains Comic Book Alliance” and the Lubbock Comic Book Expo.  His current project is the webcomic SUPER ZEROES.
